Hello, my name is Daliya Guffey. I graduated from New Castle High School. I have attended the ASAP Program at Ivy Tech Community College. I am currently a junior at Ball State University. I am majoring in Elementary Education to be a teacher and eventually planning on furthering my education to be a school principal. 

     I am 19 years old and I was born in October. I am a part-time worker at Walmart. My favorite season is fall and my favorite holiday is Halloween. My favorite animals are cows and ostriches. I love being outside and going on jeep rides with my boyfriend. I love my second family and my family. My favorite vacation is when I get to go to Tennessee. 

     In my junior and senior years of high school, I was able to participate in Education Professions and Early Childhood vocational. I was the class president for two years for FCCLA in my vocational. FCCLA changed my life by growing my self-confidence and professionalism. I loved that New Castle has a Career Center so that I was able to get experience working with children before I went into the Education field. I first wanted to be a pediatrician so I decided on the Education Program to get experience working with children then transferring to Health Occupations, but I fell in love with teaching. I love being able to watch other children master challenges that they have been working on overcoming.
